Legislation Introduced to Reform CON

Legislation Introduced to Reform CON

January 9, 2024

Reps. Marianne Proctor (District 60), Steve Rawlings (District 66) and Steve Doan (District 69) have co-sponsored legislation addressing changes to Kentucky’s Certificate of Need laws. According to the National Institutes of Health, “Certificate of Need (CON) laws, currently in place in 35 US states, require certain health care providers to obtain a certification of their economic necessity from a state board before opening or undertaking a major expansion.” Follow updates on HB202, HB203 and HB204.
