As we wrap up week six of the 2026 Legislative Session, the pace of work in Frankfort continues to accelerate. Committees are meeting daily with fuller agendas, legislation is moving to the floor and priorities are advancing with thoughtful debate.

Lawmakers continue to prepare for the 2025 Regular Session as task forces met to discuss the potential uses of artificial intelligence as well as identify which state policies can be changed or adopted to help folks willing to work reach their full potential.

The General Assembly remains hard at work as we draw near the end of the 2024 Regular Session. Almost 200 bills have passed the House, while several remain in the legislative process. With the veto period around the corner, the remaining legislative days are critical to ensuring that important legislation is passed into law. Our top priority this session, the state’s two-year spending plan, is coming closer to being approved. We have also prioritized legislative matters that are important to the people of our districts.

The 2023 Interim Session is poised to officially begin Tuesday, June 6, with a host of interim joint committee meetings in Frankfort.
