With two members absent at the August 26 meeting, lack of quorum prevented voting, but the city council reported on funds for Children’s Home of Kentucky; discussed rights of way franchise fees; and heard reports on city initiatives, events and schedules.

Florence City Council approved zoning changes for Bluegrass Cannacare and Brew Team Coffee and presented a busy slate of community activities, among other agenda items.
Florence City Council February 25
The council recognized two officers for bravery for rescuing a woman in danger. World of Golf is on target to being self-sustaining. Council passed a handful of zoning amendments. Mayor Aubuchon-Metzger announced several community events.
