Public Library Board October 21
Residents continue to be frustrated by lack of support for the Chapin Memorial Library and for including a conservative publication in the library’s periodicals selection. The board addressed budget reports, expansion of the Florence branch, a proposed code of ethics and other matters.

The October 16 Planning & Zoning meeting saw the denial of one multi-family development proposal, with many attending to speak in opposition.

Public Library Board June 17
The Public Library Board developed the acronym CARES to encompass its core values: Community, Access, Respect, Empowerment and Stewardship. The report also focuses on the proposed Archive & History Center, Petersburg residents’ continued frustration over their local branch and possible sales and purchases of property.
