Union City Commission recognized a 100-year-old, WWII veteran by declaring March 1 Nathan Hatton Jr. Day. Other business approval of new public works software and discussion of various ordinances, including regarding manufactured housing.

Highlighting the meeting were news that Christ Hospital Network is expanding into Union and previous input from residents’ had a significant impact on a proposed storage facility.
Union City Commission October 6
Union City commissioners heard from local residents as well as received updates on the West Ridge development, efforts to reduce semi-truck parking on interstate ramps, and Union Town Center, among other items of business.
Planning & Zoning October 1
Notably at the Planning Commission meeting, approval sought for a very dense residential development at 2063 Hathaway Road was denied. A proposal for a similarly dense development will come before the Tech Committee on October 15.
Union City Commission May 5
Among other issues, Union commissioners discussed tax revenues, sidewalk and blacktop maintenance, business signage, recycling and several ordinances and orders.

Union Council is focusing on development of the town center, public works projects, and a new city building.
