The Planning Commission is fielding proposals to build three hotels, two in the county and one in Florence, and has finally set dates for the tech committee meeting and final action on the Conrad Lane-Carry Back Drive condo development proposal.
Public Library Board January 27
Among other agenda items, Library Board members disagreed concerning the quantity of LGBTQ+ materials in the Boone County Public Library system. In less contentious news, historical prints by Carolyn Williams, an artist whose illustrations of the area appeared in the Cincinnati Enquirer for more than 50 years, were discovered at the old Walton branch.
Fiscal Court January 21
Members of the Fiscal Court discussed preferred installation of solar panels; regulations governing EV vs. gasoline stations; a joint resolution to designate part of Ky 18 as Donald Trump Highway; and other issues.

The commission continued discussion of a contentious change at Conrad Lane and Carry Back Drive in Burlington; passed and sent other proposals to city councils; and heard several new commercial projects.
