Present: council members Lesley Chambers, Patricia Wingo, Diane Whalen, Gary Winn, David M. Schneider, Jr. Absent: Mayor Julie Metzger Aubuchon, Councilwoman Angie Cable. Meeting was chaired by Vice-Mayor Diane Whalen

#1: Recognition of Florence Fire/EMS Department honored as St Elizabeth Crew of the Quarter (Q3 2025)
- Presentation by Chris Vogelpohl (EMS Community Outreach Manager, St. Elizabeth Healthcare) and Josh Cox.
- Recognized the department for outstanding mutual-aid response with Elsmere Fire Department on a critical childbirth emergency involving severe postpartum hemorrhage in the mother and a newborn requiring immediate resuscitation.
- Rapid transport and coordination led to successful outcomes; mother discharged in good condition.
- Individual honors to: Captain Chris Fuhrmann and Paramedic Lauren Goldfuss. Certificates and challenge coins presented. Council members offered congratulations and thanks; audience offered applause and supportive comments.
#2: Discussion – Reappointments to the Aviation Noise Abatement Committee
- Terms expire 12/31/2025 for Terresa Craft, Lisa Wilson Plager, and Kelly Huff.
- All three have agreed to serve another two-year term (1/1/2026–12/31/2027).
- No questions from council; item to be placed on a future consent agenda for formal approval.
#3: Discussion: Reappointments to Boone County Planning Commission
- Terms expiring 12/31/2025 for Janet Kegley, Charlie e Rust, and Tom Zerlinsky.
- All have agreed to serve another four-year term (1/1/2026–12/31/2029).
- No questions; to be placed on future consent agenda.
#4: Discussion: Appointment to the OKI (Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana) Board of Directors
- Gary Winn’s term expires 12/31/2025; he has agreed to continue.

Two open positions on the Urban Forest Commission. Residents are encouraged to apply online. Vice Mayor Whalen stated they need people interested in greenery and tree hugging.
Upcoming holiday events:
- 2 December 2025: Christmas Tree Lighting at Government Center, 5–7 PM (Santa, Mrs. Claus, Jones Middle School choir; no sleigh rides this year).
- 6 December 2025: Fire Department Toy Drive in front of Mall Road Kroger, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. (Santa and the Grinch).
- 11 December 2025: Blood drive at Government Center, 11 a.m.–4:45 p.m.
Councilmember Gary Winn thanked Public Services crews for leaf pickup (second round complete; final round next week).
The only candidate for City Council present besides incumbent City Council members was Jim Leach.
