Boone County/Florence – 1113 Boone Aire: Change 1.4 acres from Office1 to Commercial3 to allow adjacent land owned by same owner to have same zoning. Tech Committee: Nov 15, 5pm. Action Date: Dec 6 7pm.

Florence – Mount Zion and Lakeside Dr.: Convert some mobile home lots to allow 1 acre for a McDonalds, with only one adjacent business owner opposing. All changes except adjacent lease met. Tech Committee approved unanimously. Action date: likely Nov 15.

Burlington – 5001 Burlington Pk: 205 ft tall cell tower. Adjacent owner concerned about property value and health risk. Commission indicates Feds won’t allow local consideration of these two for FCC projects. Tech Committee: Dec 6, 5pm. Action date: Dec 6, 7pm.

Union – 9541 US 42, corners of 42 & Childrens Wy and Childrens Wy & Union Promenade: Change Planned Dev to allow 2 lots, 2.5+acres, for grocery store. Half dozen spoke against. Tech Committee: Nov 15 5pm. Action date: Dec 6, 7pm.

Union/Florence – NW corner US 42 & Farmview Dr and Old US 42 & Farmview Dr:  Change PD to allow 56,000 sq ft grocery store (rumored to be Publix) and outlots. Lots of question due to straddling Union/Florence line. Tech Committee: continued to Nov 15, 5pm. Action date: unclear.

Union/Boone County – 2063 Hathaway Rd: Change 41.4 acres from Rural Estates to Suburban Residential to allow 196 single family, 2- family, and attached apartments/condos. Public hearing: Dec 6, 7:30pm.

Boone County – Richwood Exit, adjacent to Hampton Inn: Change 20 acres from Employment PD to Urban Residential PD to allow 312 Multi-family units. Public hearing: Dec 6, 7:30pm.
