Florence – 7640 Burlington Pike: Change Development Plan to different use, 5,919 sq ft convenience store (WaWa) with gas pumps.  Some opposition. Tech Committee: postponed to unspecified future date.

Florence – Mount Zion and Lakeside Dr.: Convert some mobile home lots to allow 1 acre for a McDonalds, with only one adjacent business owner opposing.  Many questions without answers. Tech Committee: postponed to Nov 1, 5pm.

Union – 9541 US 42, corners of US 42 & Childrens Way and Childrens Way & Union Promenade: Change Planned Dev to allow 2 lots, 2.5+acres, for grocery store. Public hearing: Nov 1, 7:30pm.

Union/Florence – NW corner US 42 & Farmview Dr and Old US 42 & Farmview Dr:  Change PD to allow 56,000 sq ft grocery store (rumored to be Publix) and outlots.  Residents spoke for over an hour in opposition.  Tech questions remained unanswered. Tech Committee: postponed to Nov 1, 5pm.

Union – West side of Old Union , Westbrook Estates: Allow .8 acre to be removed from green space to allow expanding animal hospital parking lot, keeping density below required max.  Lots of questions. Action: passed unanimously.

Boone County – Countywide: 7pages of technical changes to subdivision regulations. Tech Committee: Nov 1, 6pm. Action date: Nov 15, 7pm.
