Florence – Mt. Zion and Lakeside Dr.: Convert some mobile home lots to allow 1 acre for a McDonalds, with only one adjacent business owner opposing. All changes except adjacent lease met. Action: approved with conditions.
Florence – 7640 Burlington Pike: Change Development Plan to different use, 5,919 sq ft convenience store (WaWa) with gas pumps. Some opposition. Withdrawn by applicant.
Boone County/Florence – 1113 Boone Aire: Change 1.4 acres from Office1 to Commercial3 to allow adjacent land owned by same owner to have same zoning. Tech Committee: approved 4-0. Action date: Dec 6, 7pm.
Burlington – SW Corner of Burlington Pike & KY 237: Move Ammon Nursery south on KY 237on 67acres to allow 324 apartments in nine three-story buildings on 14+ acres. Unclear if a light can be added at Patrick Dr for access. Access only on Biel Rd has limited capacity. Truck access for nursery moved south on 237. Tech Committee: Nov 29, 5pm. Action date: Dec 6, 7pm.
Union – 9541 US 42, corners of 42 & Childrens Way and Childrens Way & Union Promenade: Change Planned Dev to allow 2 lots, 2.5+acres, for grocery store. Half dozen spoke against. Tech Committee: approved with conditions. Action date: Dec 6, 7pm.
Union/Florence – NW corner US 42 & Farmview Dr and Old US 42 & Farmview Dr: Change PD to allow 56,000 sq ft grocery store (rumored to be Publix) and outlots. Lots of question due to straddling Union/Florence line. Tech Committee: approved with conditions. Action date: unclear.
Boone County – Ryle Rd. near Landing Creek: Change 2 acres from Rural Estate to Recreation to allow personal campground with boat and camper storage. Tech Committee: Nov 29, 5pm. Action date: Dec 6, 7pm.
Boone County – Countywide: 7 pages of technical changes to subdivision regulations; grown to 30 pages. Meet with Florence Building and Zoning.
