Public Hearing: Long Range Planning Committee for 2045 Plan

Public Hearing: Long Range Planning Committee for 2045 Plan

April 17, 2024

Tech Committee Meeting: May 1, 5 p.m. Final Action Committee Meeting: May 15, 7 p.m.

Topics brought up by the public at the hearing:

>>Traffic and infrastructure: how much of objectives are met?
>>Measure results: need metrics around objectives.
>>All evaluations should include environmental impact.
>>Development should be compatible with existing land uses (existing housing)
>>Many good objectives from the 2040 plan were left out of the 2045 plan and should be returned to the 2045 plan (too many to list here).
>>County needs to provide updated stats to the Planning and Zoning Commission on a monthly basis on how many warehouses and how many apartments already exist in the county and how many are vacant.

The BCRP thanks Jenna LeCount, who attended the meeting and took copious notes.
