Approved appointments

  • Matthew Noll, Telecommunication Dispatcher
  • Savannah Eder, Telecommunication Dispatcher
  • Russell Buss, NKY Board of Health
  • Jerry Noran, Boone County Building Inspection/Code Appeals

Approved promotion: Megan Green, Police Social Worker

Admin matters covered

  • 6A. $75K in funds were approved for water rescue dock; these funds were budgeted.
  • 6B. Judge executive will apply for Homeland Security grant
  • 6C. Surplus vehicles: three former pursuit vehicles declared surplus; two will be auctioned on gov.deal.com and one will go to Madison County police.
  • 6D. Waste tire event will be held August 20-22. This event is held every three years.

Resolutions: 7A. Approval of transfers of $525K from one project to another and $181K transfer from reserves for budgeted project

Treasurer’s report

  • Occupational licenses brought in $3M more than expected
  • Real estate taxes were lower than budget by $467k
  • Golf course revenue was $4.62M
  • Cash rollover amount was $129M
  • Treasurers report is available on fiscal court website

Old Business
Mr. Mallard asked about status of adopting new code of conduct/ethics for elected officials.

New Business
Bill Nobel is researching and putting together a presentation about ebike/utv/dirt bike use on streets.

Announcements

  • Next meeting is at 8:30 a.m. August 11
  • Senior picnic tickets go on sale Monday, August 3. Picnic is September 9, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
