The Fiscal Court approved a zoning change for 37 acres on the west side of KY237 between Overlook Drive and Barbara Drive in Hebron to allow multifamily development. Ad valorem tax rates for 2026 also were approved.

Administrative matters include dispersal of three surplus pursuit vehicles, Homeland Security grant application and approval of funds for the water rescue dock.

Fiscal Court October 21
The Fiscal Court approved two appointments, announced a grant benefiting Boone County Water Rescue and awarded a bid on a multi-use path along Conrad Lane. The issue of ethics changes also was discussed; recommendations are postponed pending further research.

The meeting saw continued discussion of the proposed Home2Suites hotel between Richwood and Frontage roads and approval of the control swap of Hicks Pike and Chambers Road. Additionally, several contracts were awarded, among other items of business.
