Senate Passes Rawlings’ Bill to Strengthen Liberty Protections
The Kentucky Senate has passed Senate Bill 60 (SB 60), legislation sponsored by Sen. Steve Rawlings, R-Burlington, to reinforce religious liberty protections across the Commonwealth. The measure now moves to the House for consideration.
House Passes Proctor-sponsored HB 392
The Kentucky House of Representatives passed House Bill 392, sponsored by Rep. Marianne Proctor of Boone. HB 392 ensures that patients in state run mental health facilities can get necessary medical care if the facility can’t provide it.
Fiscal Court February 18

Public Library Board January 27
Among other agenda items, Library Board members disagreed concerning the quantity of LGBTQ+ materials in the Boone County Public Library system. In less contentious news, historical prints by Carolyn Williams, an artist whose illustrations of the area appeared in the Cincinnati Enquirer for more than 50 years, were discovered at the old Walton branch.
Resolution in Support of HRJ 8
The Boone County Republican Party resolved to support a proposed joint resolution of the Kentucky House to name a portion of Kentucky Route 18 in honor of President Donald Trump.
