Fiscal Court October 21

October 21, 2025

Boone County Fiscal Court regular meeting at the Burlington Administration Building. 

  1. A resolution confirming an appointment of Chuck Session to the Boone-Florence Water Commission. Approved
  2. A resolution confirming an appointment of Steven Caddell to the Boone County Urban Forestry Commission. Approved
  3. A resolution acknowledging the award of a FEMA/DHS Port Security Grant which will be used for new docks for Boone County Water Rescue. Water Rescue secured the grant plus matching funds. Approved
  4. A resolution awarding a bid for the design and construction of the multi-use path (MUP) along Conrad Lane from KY 237 to Bullittsville Road. $325K design fee; $2.7m total cost (in budget). Approved

An update on the commercial vehicle parking issue that has been mentioned should come in November.  There are a few other items on the full agenda, which can be found here. Meetings are  livestreamed here.

Old business:

Katie Lowell requested an update on ethics changes requested at last meeting. The commission is reviewing wording of codes of ethics from surrounding counties before recommending changes.

C. Jacobson requested reason for ethics changes (none given) and reminded FC meetings are “fiscal.”

M. Sicero requested additional commissioners on library board; will review.

A. Litener requested additional oversight about what is displayed in library; requested ethics be decided by ballot; and asked board to speak out for truth.

D. Miller requested review of the use of UTVs on roads in county for tourism purposes. More research is needed.
