The BCRP Local Issues Committee has provided a memo summarizing public input and Boone County Planning Commission responses regarding the 2024 Boone County Comprehensive Plan.

Planning & Zoning addressed proposals for commercial and residential development including multi-family.
Public Hearing: Long Range Planning Committee for 2045 Plan
Local Issues Committee Chair Randy Stigall draws attention to the need to pay close attention to Boone County’s 2045 Plan and the impact of expanding development on the county.

The Local Issues Committee especially notes three public hearings to be held Wednesday, May 1, and reports on growing proposals for development across the county.
Public Library Board April 15
The Library Board continued discussions and public comment regarding the Chapin Memorial Library, progress on the Walton branch construction project, Drees Homes’ land use proposal and the need to present a variety of perspectives via periodicals available in the library.

Planning and Zoning discussed changes to commercial and residential zoning in Hebron, Erlanger, Florence, Bellview and wider Boone County.
Planning & Zoning March 20
Boone County Planning & Zoning is considering changes to allow further commercial and residential development affecting Hebron, Florence and other county areas.
Public Library Board March 18
The Library Board considered a purchase proposal from Drees to develop condonimiums on land in Hebron currently owned by the library. Other issues concerned the Chapin Memorial Library serving the Petersburg area and temporary closure of the Walton branch as construction nears completion.

Only the tech committee met February 21, with signage requests by United Dairy Farmers and Cincinnati Children’s in Union and changes to commercial zoning on Hunter Road near the airport considered.
