Planning & Zoning July 16
Of note, two Hathaway Rd projects have been either withdrawn or postponed by their applicants. Final action of several proposals is scheduled for August 6.
Boone County School Board July 10

Florence City Council July 8
Among other business, Florence City Council heard reports from City Attorney Thomas Nienaber and city Code Enforcement personnel leading to a decision to begin foreclosure proceedings for a property on Goodridge Drive.

Residents continue to push back against proposals allowing residential development of greater density along Hathaway Road.
Public Library Board June 16
The Public Library Board heard reports about grant applications, personnel changes, a popular new offering at Walton, a possible new home for the Archive & History Center, the board’s finances and more.
Florence City Council June 13
Florence City Council approved one development proposal, denied another and dealt with issues affecting personnel, among other items of business.
Boone County School Board June 12
The Boone County School Board’s two conservative members voted no to Panorama. The school board spends $219K+ on Panorama, which the education services company says “collect[s] and act[s] on essential student behavior data” and provides “a valid and reliable survey tool to measure student perceptions of teaching and learning,” among other data collection applications. With the death of Planning Commission member Kenny Vaught, decisions scheduled for this meeting were delayed until July 2. The commission continues to field proposals for residential development and development of Union Promenade.
Florence City Council June 3
The Council addressed zoning changes, budgets, personnel policy changes and community events.
